When independent retailer Fred and Gilbert underwent a full rebrand (transforming from Pecks Vintage into their fresh new identity) they wanted to make a big impact. To amplify the change and attract more customers, they partnered with ArtSync to deliver a tailored social media campaign and a striking in-store mural.

Bringing the New Brand to Life

The mural was designed to perfectly reflect Fred and Gilbert’s updated brand identity. Positioned in their space within Sparks Bristol, the artwork added colour, personality, and a visual focal point to help them stand out from the many creative sellers around them. Beyond being visually impressive, it acted as a marketing tool to draw in foot traffic and spark curiosity.

Launch Event Success

On 5 April, Fred and Gilbert unveiled their murals at a special launch event. The response was overwhelming, visitors and fellow traders praised the piece for being sharp, clean, and completely in tune with the store’s new direction. Social media buzz from the event helped increase online engagement and in-person visits.

A Lasting Impact on Customer Awareness

Since settling into their refreshed space, Fred and Gilbert have noticed a steady increase in customers approaching and engaging with them. The mural hasn’t just decorated the store: it has helped boost visibility, strengthen brand recognition, create a memorable experience for shoppers, and act as a branded backdrop for their new social media content.

This case shows how a well-placed mural can go beyond aesthetics to become a powerful marketing tool. From attracting attention in competitive spaces to reinforcing brand identity, mural artwork offers businesses a unique way to connect with customers.
